Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's 10-game winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.
In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest record, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Soccer and Family Life
Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious return as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.
"I won't force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football side," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their attack is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this game will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's sole away win this season came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.
My son advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always strong at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
The singer's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.
Fulham have got plenty of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.
However I am not do that. Instead, I really need to continue going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
